The sweatshirt is manufactured using a specially engineered knitted fabric construction which uses Dupont Kevlar Brand fibres and other materials to give a very high level of cut resistance yet maintaining the light wieght and comfort level of this type of work garment.
The fabric is knitted in a novel sandwich construction which, coupled with the combination of yarns and technical fibres used, gives it exceptional cut and tear resistance levels along with good puncture resistance.
Chieftain™ sweatshirts are comfortable to wear, are hard wearing and machine washable and, because their cut resistant properties are inherent, they do not deteriorate with washing.
Shirts are available in natural colour (as illustrated) and in black as a special order. Style options include round or V neck. Standard sizes are small, medium, large, extra large and extra extra large. Special sizes are also available on request. Other garments are available (trousers etc.)
Chieftain sweatshirt: EN388 X 5 4 2 | |  | | | | | | Protective aprons with leather facing available in a standard size covering from waist to knee. The apron features an abrasion resistant chrome leather face over a protective layer of heavy duty Glass/Aramid fabric and a polyester/cotton inner layer and includes a tool pocket.and replaceable leather fastening tapes. A layer of high visibility fabric is included beneath the Glass/Aramid layer to draw the user's attention to any breakdown of the protective barrier.
Apron: EN388 4 5 3 4 | |  | | | | | | Cuff (wrist) protectors are supplied in pairs in medium, large and extra large sizes and are manufactured with a heavy duty Glass/Aramid fabric sandwiched between hard-wearing polyester cotton outer and inner fabrics. The cuff features Velcro fastenings arranged for easy closure by either right or left hand.
Cuff: EN388 2 5 3 3 | |  | | | | | | Protective trousers made of heavy duty polyester/cotton with a re-enforced area utilising fabric made from aramid fibres to give protection over the lower leg. The re-enforced area and upper front areas are also covered with heavy duty nylon to give increased abrasion resistance and increased life. The trousers include conventional side and rear pockets and zip fastening. They are available in waist sizes from 76cm(30ins) increasing in 4cm increments to 116cm (45ins).
